Louis Armstrong once had a hit with What A Wonderful World, a song looking at all the joys of being alive. Indeed, there are many joys despite all the gloom and doom in the news. So let us look at some reasons to love the world:
There is something truly incredible about the massive marine mammals known as whales and their smaller cousins the dolphins. These unique animals inspire us in many ways and in many parts of the world we can watch them tracing a line across the waters.

And pretty butterflies add so much colour to the natural world as they flit from flower to flower in search of nectar. Some species, such as the monarch butterfly, have incredible migrations. This butterfly migrates from the north of America down to the southern states and back the following year.
Breathtaking Mountains & Sunsets
Mountains inspire us because we want to climb them and because of the views they give us. Mountains such as Mt Everest in the Himalayas and Mt Teide in Tenerife are two of the highest in the world.
Who doesn’t love to see an amazing technicolour sunset? Sunsets inspire artists and lovers and are like paintings in the sky.

The Florence Cathedral known as El Duomo with its fantastic dome is one such historic building that receives countless visitors each year.
Other buildings that amaze us include the Taj Mahal in India and the Hagia Sophia in Turkey, as well as ancient constructions like the pyramids of Egypt and Stonehenge stone circle in the UK.
